2. General Information on Data Processing
The protection of your personal data is important to us. We process personal data only within the framework of applicable law.
Personal data means any information that can identify you personally.
In the Modul Konfigurator of the member area we store the projects you create there (project details, dimensions, components and quantities), together with your email address, your name and the company you are assigned to; the company determines the prices shown. To keep changes traceable we log them with the time and your user ID, without your IP address. The data is held in a database at our hosting provider and kept until you delete a project or your access is closed (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
3. Hosting and Server Log Files
When this website is accessed, the web server automatically collects information. This includes in particular:
- IP address of the requesting device
- Date and time of access
- Accessed page or file
- Browser type and browser version
- Operating system used
This processing is carried out to ensure operation, system security, and technical administration.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
To protect against automated sign-in and form attempts, we count attempts per e-mail address. Only the times and a non-reversible check value formed with a secret key are stored — not the e-mail address and no IP address. The entries are deleted after one hour at the latest. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
4. Contact Requests
If you contact us by email, we process your data to handle your request.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
5. Cookies and Storage on Your Device
We use one strictly necessary session cookie that keeps you signed in for the duration of your visit. It holds no personal content, only a random identifier, and is deleted when you close your browser. Signing in is not technically possible without it.
For security reasons a session ends automatically after 60 minutes without activity.
For usage measurement (section 6) a further random identifier is stored in your browser's session storage. It is likewise deleted when you close the browser tab and does not allow you to be recognised on a later visit.
The legal basis for strictly necessary storage is Section 25(2)(2) TDDDG in conjunction with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. For storage that is not necessary, used for usage measurement, we obtain your consent (Section 25(1) TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
Your decision about usage measurement is logged so that it can be demonstrated under Art. 7(1) GDPR. We store the time, the decision itself, the version of the consent text, the language selected and the browser identification string; for signed-in people, the user ID as well. Your IP address is not stored — not in shortened or checksummed form either. You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future.
6. Usage Measurement
To improve our content we record how the pages are used. Measurement is carried out solely with our own software on our own server. No third-party service is involved, no data is passed to third parties, and no transfer to a third country takes place.
The following is recorded:
- the page requested and its title
- buttons and links clicked (label and destination)
- how far a page was scrolled
- the random session identifier described in section 5
- for signed-in people, the link to the user account
Measurement only takes place if you have consented beforehand. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with Section 25(1) TDDDG. Without consent, no usage data is collected.
With each event we also store the time, the page opened, a random session identifier and the browser identification string. For signed-in people, the user ID is stored as well, so that use within the protected platform can be attributed to the account. Your IP address is not stored — not in shortened or checksummed form either.
Within the protected platform we also evaluate usage in order to monitor operation and detect misuse; the legal basis for this is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Usage data is deleted after «retention period».
7. Map Display
The project calculator and DIGBAU Software (feasibility study) embed a map to show the location you enter or the plot you draw. The map tiles come from OpenFreeMap (openfreemap.org), a free map service based on OpenMapTiles; the underlying map data comes from OpenStreetMap.
The map is not loaded automatically. It loads only when you ask for it; until then no connection to OpenFreeMap is made and no data is transmitted.
Once you load the map, your browser connects directly to OpenFreeMap's servers. Your IP address is transmitted, along with technical details such as browser type and operating system, and the map section being displayed. We have no influence over this transmission. According to the provider, no cookies are set and no user profiles are created.
The legal basis is your consent, given by loading the map (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG). You may leave the map unloaded at any time; the calculation works fully without it.
The address you enter is processed solely to display the location. A plot drawn in DIGBAU Software, and every input you make there, is calculated in your browser and not stored in the browser. Only when you explicitly save a study do we send the plot, zones, inputs, the names of any parcels you picked, your bookmarked options and the name you give it to our server, where it is stored under your member account until you delete the study or your account is closed (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Further information on the map service: https://openfreemap.org — on the map data: https://osmfoundation.org/wiki/Privacy_Policy
In DIGBAU Software you can show aerial images instead of the map. These digital orthophotos come from the Hessian Administration for Land Management and Geoinformation (HVBG), Schaperstrasse 16, 65195 Wiesbaden, under the licence dl-de/zero-2-0. You can also show land parcels from the official land register (ALKIS) of the HVBG or pick them as your plot. Aerial images load only when you choose the 'Aerial' view, parcels only when you switch on 'Parcels' or use 'Pick land parcels'; the spot you click is sent as a map section. Your browser then connects directly to the HVBG's servers (gds-srv.hessen.de and gds.hessen.de); your IP address, technical details of your browser and the map section being displayed are transmitted. The legal basis is your consent, given by choosing this view (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG). Further information: https://hvbg.hessen.de
